Business lounge tips. How to share the experience with someone who’s traveling economy

One of the main benefits of business lounges is their comfort, creating an exclusive, inviting, and much more peaceful environment for travelers than crowded and chaotic airport terminals. Another significant benefit of business lounges is the level of service they offer. Many lounges have staff to assist travelers with any needs, from booking a flight to arranging transportation. They also typically provide a range of refreshments and snacks; sometimes, even whole meals are served.

However, if you are traveling economy, you may only have access to a business lounge if you have a membership with a lounge access program. But what to do if you meet a friend who travels the economy but you want to spend some time together in a business lounge? The access is typically restricted to specific individuals, such as business or first-class travelers, elite frequent flyers, or members of lounge access programs. Here are some tips to help you bring a friend into a business lounge:

Check for guest policies: Some lounges allow members to bring one or more guests. Check the lounge’s guest policy before you arrive to ensure you can bring a friend with you.

Purchase a day pass: Some lounges offer day passes that anyone can purchase, regardless of their travel class or frequent flyer status. This can be a great option if you’re traveling in economy class and want to enjoy the amenities of a business lounge.

Use a credit card with lounge access benefits: Some credit cards offer lounge access as a benefit. This can be a great way to get into a lounge for you and your friend, even if you’re not flying business or first class.

Consider a membership program: Lounge access programs such as Priority Pass or LoungeKey offer access to a network of lounges worldwide. Depending on the program, these memberships can be purchased, and you can bring one or more guests.

Be prepared to pay extra: Remember that bringing a guest into a lounge may require you to pay a fee, especially if you’re not a member or don’t have the right credit card.

We wish you the best travel experiences with the most enjoyable co-travelers.
